About Troop 203

The Scout Oath
On my honor I will do my best
to do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
to help other people at all times;
to keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.

Boy Scout Troop 203 is chartered through St. Patrick's Church in Baton Rouge, LA. Our scouts meet weekly to work on Merit Badges, Rank Advancement and planning monthly adventures. Among their favorites are wilderness camping at Avondale Scout Reservation, biking the historic trails of Vickburg and hiking through Louisiana's state parks. During the summer, we've ventured out to summer camps in Colorado, West Virginia, Georgia, and Arkansas. Our older scouts have taken on the challenging high adventure treks at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. Learning leadership and life skills are part of these experiences.

Our scouts are always willing to lend a hand. They serve our community through a variety of service projects from delivering newsletters to assembling playground equipment. During the Great Flood of 2016, our boys assisted many families in our community by mucking out flood ravaged homes and by hauling debris, furniture and supplies.

Please consider supporting our boy scout troop and help these young men on their life journey. Your participation helps us maintain a high quality Scouting program.

Thank you for your support!
