How much mulch is in each bag and what area will it cover?
Each bag contains 2 cubic feet of mulch. The coverage area depending on how deep you want the mulch in your garden.
Here are some calculations:
DEPTH/ One 2 Cubic Foot Bag Covers
.5” / 48 sq feet
1” / 24 sq feet
2” / 12 sq feet
3” / 8 sq feet
4" / 6 sq feet
Each bale covers about 50 square feet of ground. When spreading pine straw, you should shake it over the ground to keep it fluffy. It should be approximately 3 inches deep over the ground.
Pine straw does not attract termites.

At this time, we can only deliver to the following Baton Rouge zip code areas with a minimum purchase of 5 bags: 70806, 70808, 70809, 70810, 70815, 70816, 70817, 70819, 70836.
If you live outside these zip codes, before you place your order, please email boyscoutmulchbr@gmail.com to determine whether we can deliver to your address. Orders outside the delivery zone will be available for pickup at a location in the 70817 zip code.
